La Velada

Made from scratch,
like the food.
Overview
La Velada is chef Orlando Hurtado’s Friday-night Colombian supper club.
Creek built it from the ground up: the identity, the menus, the invitations and posters, the photography and the social content.
Every piece had to feel like part of the same evening.

Approach
Typewriter type, warm paper
and a hand-drawn circle.
The identity is kept deliberately plain. The menu changes every couple of weeks, so everything printed has to be quick to remake and still look like La Velada.
The photography stays close to the cooking: plates finished on the steel counter, then eaten at the table.

Invitation
The invitation was developed as a physical object first and social content second.

The first one announced launch night. The same design then ran as the Instagram story, so the printed card and the post read as one invitation.
Menus + posters
Menus and posters share the typewriter type and off-white paper.

Each menu is built around one region of Colombia, starting with La Costa, the Caribbean coast.
The layouts are sparse and deliberately direct.
Nothing decorative was added simply because there was room for it.
Social
The social work treats each post as part of an ongoing visual sequence rather than an isolated asset.

Printed matter, typography, movement and close-up material details carry across the carousel.
The feed stays connected to the physical brand.
Bookings come in through Instagram, so the feed has a job beyond looking good.
